title: Apps
description: Deploy applications and persistent services.
---

Apps host static sites, servers, workers and databases. Each App has a stable URL. A release contains its code and configuration; a failed deployment does not replace the active release.

Server Apps run machines. Volumes retain data across releases; a machine’s root disk resets on replacement. Use a volume for database files and other persistent data.

Apps availability depends on your project. Open Customize → Apps to see available features.

```bash
beeuni apps list
beeuni apps show main
beeuni apps connect main
beeuni apps launch --template convex --slug main
beeuni apps deploy dist --type static --spa
beeuni apps machines main
beeuni apps volumes main
```

Connect applications with `uses` and use the connection examples shown by `beeuni apps connect`. Keep administrative credentials out of client-side code.

Running resources consume account credits. Check Billing and Usage for your balance. Apps do not have a separate monthly budget.

Back up important data. Restoring a volume snapshot discards later changes. Deleting a volume permanently removes its data.
